I took last week to model this in Maya and fully texture it in 3DCoat, this is my first attempt in rendering metal. I loved the concept by Max Davenport and wanted to use it as a base to study handpainting. (I found the image on Pinterest and was told it was his, so hopefully I’m correct :D)
I would like to thank Bernardo Cristovao for his amazing advice and for giving me the little push I needed, Oliver Harbour for helping me sort out the tricky bits and the students from CGSpectrum for being on my side during this first experiment.
